BBright and Hexalia win the Future and R&D SATIS 2026 Trophy for the MXL-IA project

BBright and Hexalia, two Hexaglobe Group brands, have won a SATIS 2026 Trophy in the Future & R&D category for MXL-IA, their collaborative R&D project supported by the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC).

MXL-IA aims to make artificial intelligence easier to integrate into professional broadcast infrastructures. The project combines BBright’s expertise in ST 2110, playout and real-time media processing with Hexalia’s AI building blocks for video, audio and metadata analysis. Through MXL (Media eXchange Layer), these AI services integrate with existing ST 2110 infrastructures without compromising timing, quality or operational reliability.

This award reflects a continuous drive for innovation across the group. Last year, SGT and BBright were already recognised in the same category. It proves that R&D is at the heart of Hexaglobe Group’s DNA, and that its brands know how to join forces to address the media industry’s major challenges.

In September, at IBC 2026, BBright also presented a technical paper on MXL as an interoperability boundary between AI and broadcast infrastructures, selected for the Technical Papers Programme.

With MXL-IA, Hexaglobe Group reaffirms its ambition to build modular, interoperable and AI-ready media architectures, from on-premises broadcast facilities to the cloud.

Hexaglobe Group thanks SATIS for this recognition and congratulates the BBright and Hexalia teams.
